1st Annual Back-To-School Block Party

School is back in session, and you know what that means: things are about to get real busy for families with children! Luckily, we got to throw our first ever Back-to-School Block Party at Spring Meadows Elementary on August 14. We had so much fun getting to know all of our young patients. And, of course, we didn’t forget the teachers! From big to small, a good time was had by all.

Toothbrush Giveaway

At the event, a ton of our students enjoyed demonstrating to us exactly how they brush their teeth as part of their oral healthcare regimen. For the most part, they were amazing at taking care of their smile. They were even open to our tips and tricks on how to improve their technique. After all, as their local dental care providers, we are the experts! To all the students and teachers who attended, we offered some really cool free toothbrushes. Everyone had a lot of fun and learned how to take better care of their beautiful smiles.

We were set on being involved with this particular event to help educate young students on the importance of their oral health. When patients take care of their oral health, they’re setting themselves up for a lifetime of happy, healthy smiles and overall body wellness. As a reminder for those who weren’t present, Dr. Miranda recommends you brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes each time and to floss every day. Moreover, visit us for your routine dental checkup every six months so we can help you keep your smile in tip-top shape!

We also gave some useful tips to parents on what to do for a variety of dental emergency situations, such as bleeding gums or a knocked-out tooth.
