Who Is a Good Candidate for IV Sedation?
While we typically save IV sedation for longer procedures, such as tooth extractions or wisdom teeth removal, we can also recommend IV sedation during routine visits for patients who have extreme dental anxiety.
How Much Does IV Sedation Cost?
You should check with your insurance provider to see if IV sedation is partially covered for your procedure. If your plan does not cover it or you are uninsured, contact our office to discuss financing plans so you can get the care that you need.
What Are the After Effects of IV Sedation?
It can take a few hours for the effects of IV sedation to wear off. You may experience some mental fog. Driving is not safe for a full 24 hours after IV sedation so you should plan to have someone drive you home after your appointment. Take it easy after your appointment and give yourself plenty of time to rest.
