What to Do If a Tooth Gets Knocked Out<\/b><\/h2>\n

If one of your teeth gets knocked out, the first step is not to panic. If you can, gently rinse the tooth and place it back in its socket. If that\u2019s not an option, you can keep the tooth between your cheek and gum, or even in a glass of milk in a pinch. Then, get to an emergency dentist as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

How to React If You Chip a Tooth<\/b><\/h2>\n

If you chip a tooth, your reaction should depend on how severe the chip is. If the chip is causing you pain or if it\u2019s cutting your mouth, call an emergency dentist. Otherwise, you may be able to wait to get treatment at a more convenient time.<\/p>\n

What to Do About a Toothache<\/b><\/h2>\n

Toothaches can have many causes. It may be something as simple as a piece of food residue irritating your gum, or something as severe as an infection in the pulp or nerve of your tooth. If you are in serious pain, get to an emergency dentist for help. If your discomfort is more mild, you can try gently rinsing with warm salt water to see if that eases your pain.<\/p>\n
