Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom tooth removal is one of the most common types of tooth extractions. We suggest patients have their wisdom teeth extracted when their third molars are coming in improperly (at an angle) or aren’t fully erupting. Oftentimes, wisdom teeth can get stuck or cause crowding which can affect the health of your surrounding teeth. At Texas Dental, we do a thorough examination to decide if tooth extraction is the right plan for you.

Sedation Options During Tooth Removal
It’s not uncommon for patients to experience dental anxiety or fear when they need a tooth extraction. We offer two sedation options: nitrous oxide and IV sedation. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is an effective sedative that you inhale through a mask. Laughing gas is not meant to put you to sleep, but rather keep you calm. IV sedation is a form of sedation used to send you into a deep state of relaxation. IV sedation is a safe intravenous sedation technique that makes patients so relaxed they might not remember the procedure. These options can help you conquer your dental anxiety and feel confident the next time you step into our dentist’s office.
