A dental crown is essentially a cap that encases the entire surface of your natural tooth. We can use them to cover cracks or chips, even out large fillings, or give you a new tooth in conjunction with a dental implant. We will craft your crown to match the shade, shape, and size of your surrounding teeth, so your smile will look as good as ever. Crowns are extremely durable, and if taken care of properly, they will last many years.
Losing a tooth can have a big impact on your dental health, personal appearance, and self-confidence. If you lose a tooth, it can throw off the balance of your other teeth and even cause them to move out of position. This shift in your teeth can affect your bite, cause the loss of additional teeth, and lead to decay and gum disease.
If you are missing a tooth, Dr. Miranda may recommend the placement of a bridge. A dental bridge is one or more replacement teeth anchored by one or more crowns on each side. The bridge contains the replacement tooth (or teeth) that sits in place of the missing tooth, bridging the gap left behind and completing your smile.
Smile Makeovers with Veneers & Lumineers®
Veneers are made of a wafer-thin porcelain material that we bond to the front side of your tooth. Veneers can improve the look of broken, discolored, misshapen, crooked, chipped, or unevenly spaced teeth.
For a more affordable option, we also offer Lumineers. These work in a similar way, covering imperfections and changing your smile in nearly any way you can imagine, but they require less prep work and fewer appointments. You can have a new smile in no time!
No matter how regularly you brush and floss, teeth become dull and lose their natural whiteness over time. We expose our teeth to many different elements every single day that cause them to stain. Foods such as pasta sauce, wine, and coffee are just a few of the foods and beverages that will stain your teeth. Luckily, you can have your teeth professionally whitened at Texas Dental and get your smile’s dazzle back! A quick trip to our office can brighten your smile by up to eight shades. Root Canal Therapy
When the root of a tooth becomes infected, you may need a root canal to get rid of the infection and stop the pain. To perform a root canal, Dr. Miranda will drill down through the top of the tooth into the inner chamber and remove the infected tissue. After we remove the diseased tissue, we then clean and disinfect the inside of the tooth. Dr. Miranda fills the area with an elastic material and more medication to prevent any future infection.
